History

All About Records is an independent Record Label founded by Russ Orcutt and based out of Southeastern, MA. Founded in 1997, when some friends in the band All Chrome (eventually signing to Ferrett Records) needed someone to release their first 7 inch. Since then AAR has been showcasing and distributing the best indie bands in New England and beyond. In the late 2000s, the label extended it's outreach to the United Kingdom with a series of AllAboutRecords-UK tours and festivals. In the last 15 years we have put on over 500 shows, booked over 50 tours, and worked with thousands of bands from all over the world.

Past AAR bands have included a wide spectrum of bands from Tokyo Rose to Smackin' Isaiah (now known as A Wilhelm Scream), to Select Start and Lanemeyer (which featured Brian Fallon from Gaslight Anthem, as well as Chris Barker from A Day at the Fair). No matter the style, All About Records' mission has always been to release records from bands we believe in.
